Pianist Ignasi Cambra has wanted to make his debut on the prestigious Sony Classical label with a complete statement of principles by performing works by the composers Frédéric Chopin and Franz Schubert. For as with any “purebred” pianist, there is a deep need to reveal those existences with which he is in utter spiritual intimacy, to offer us an impeccable performance of a repertoire that we have listened to endlessly with admiration and which, once again in this recording, acquires a transcendent presence.
